Tony, 15 Years Old, Urban Farmer at Three Sisters Gardens
Tony is one of the team members at the non-profit, Native-led community organization Three Sisters Gardens located in Broderick neighborhood of West Sacramento, CA. At only 15 years old, he gets up at 5am every day and tends to the land before going back home for online schooling.
"I like being here. It feels tight, especially because it's in the center of where I'm from. We're getting up early and putting in the real work here. Doing something productive cuz there's not really much productive stuff around here. We learn how to grow stuff, how to landscape, and we get consistency."
